After completing his education, Akshat starts preparing for the IAS officer exam. He first gave exams of UPSC in the year 2017 but was unable to clear his preliminary exam, because he gave the exams with only 3 months of preparation. Then he decided to prepare for a whole year and then gave the exam.

In 2018, he gave the exam with full preparation. He cracked it and got 2nd All-India Rank. He got 882 marks in mains written and 198 marks in his Interview round. He scored 1080 marks in total. He also got training for his administrative work at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration.

Preparation & Training
Akshat has shared his schedule of study with the IAS aspirants through several interviews. He suggested reading ‘The Hindu’ newspaper every day but also said that one should not spend so much time reading newspapers. Apart from this, notes are always the best part to summarise the topic.
